The hand-moulded facing brick for a trendy façade

The Lerno is a hand-moulded facing brick of Nelissen Brickworks. The surface of this brick is yellow, the colour shades vary from light grey to dark grey with brown, burgundy and blue-grey effects.

Lerno is made from Löss from Limburg, extracted from the plateau of Kesselt in the Meuse valley. The brick is revalued with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel.

The non-perforated brick from the Grigio range is covered with sand at five sides and provided with an oblong sloping groove on one flat side.

The structure of the Lerno is characterized by a rough appearance with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process is done in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under a slightly reducing atmosphere.
