A hand-moulded facing brick for a dark wall

The Manganese Black hand-moulded facing brick is part of the Obscuro range of Nelissen Bricks. This hand-moulded facing brick is made from Loss from Limburg, extracted from the plateau of Kesselt in the Meuse valley and revalued with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel.

The facing brick (non-perforated) is sanded on five sides and provided with an oblong sloping groove on one flat side (frog, group 1).

By the homogeneous mixture of a precise proportion of manganese dioxide with Loss loam, Nelissen Bricks obtains a black stone. The colour varies between mainly anthracite to coal black.
